Parks and Recreation Friday, May 9, 2008  
Attractions and recreational opportunities in the Silverton area abound. In addition to Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Garden, the Mt. Angel Abbey and Queen of Angels Monastery, city parks and other local outdoor activities offer something for everyone.
Children enjoy the play equipment at Coolidge-McClaine Park.

Public restrooms, access to covered bridge.

FISHING
Silverton Reservoir
4381 Silver Falls Dr.
One mile south of town on South Water Street. Stocked several times a summer with trout. Fishing license required for 16 and older. Limited picnicking facility, boat dock, ramp; electric motors only.

SWIMMING
Silverton City Pool

Changing room, showers, snack bar, diving boards and slides, lessons. Open June through end of August.

TENNIS COURTS
Silverton High School

Four courts, open to the public, no fees.
