Mock crash leaves a big impression

High school see the results of drunken wreck first-hand

In Oregon, more than 1,000 died in alcohol-related crashes, according to the Oregon Department of Human Services.

At Silverton High School, three seniors are trying to keep others from becoming another statistic.

On Thursday, SHS students filled the football stadium bleachers and watched a tragedy in motion — a simulated auto collision caused by a drunken driver.
